Councilman H. Lamar Willis Hosts Winter Wonderland Soiree for APS students, today at City Hall

Atlanta – Atlanta City Councilmember H. Lamar Willis will host a “Winter Wonderland Soiree” on December 20 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. in the Atlanta City Hall atrium.

The holiday celebration is open to Atlanta Public Schools students and their parents and to all City of Atlanta employees.  Children must be accompanied by an adult.

The free event allows city officials to show their support for APS and its students and to encourage them to continue to press forward in the new year.

For the last eight years, Willis has organized holiday celebrations for groups ranging from senior citizens to at-risk youths to public safety employees.

“My goal is to make sure that as a council member I am not only focusing on the policies of our city, but also highlighting this city’s greatest asset, its people,” said Willis.  “Each year, I use my holiday celebration to publicly show support for those who make progressing Atlanta possible.”
