Pamela is an advocate for human potential with an unwavering commitment to assisting women in their quest toward achieving something more. She has a distinct gift for helping others to uncover their value and regain their warrior status to move toward achieving their life’s goals. 

Pamela provides several backdrops for helping women to uncover their value.  She conducts boundary development seminars and journaling workshops throughout the Atlanta area, facilitates virtual Journaling Groups and weaves journal writing into every aspect of her coaching as a form of self-reflection, discovery and empowerment.

How do you expose urban youth to Georgia’s agriculture? You open a Pizza Farm!

The Cooperative Extension Metro Collaborative of Fulton, DeKalb, Gwinnett, Cobb and Clayton counties have invited 4th and 5th grade students to visit Pizza Farm 2013 on May 8 and 9, 2013 at the State Farmers Market Exhibit Hall located in Forest Park, GA. Attendees will learn how dairy, vegetables, grains and meats come together to make the perfect pizza, as well as about good health and nutrition. 

“We are excited about the Pizza Farm!” states Menia Chester, Director of Fulton County Cooperative Extension. “Many children think their food comes from the grocery store.  The Pizza Farm will teach them that every pizza starts at the farm.”

Exhibits on the origins of pizza ingredients will be presented in a circuit of stations set up around the State Farmers Market Exhibit Hall.

Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield, director general of the Foreign Service and director of human resources for the U.S. Department of State, will address the dynamics of diplomatic service during a presentation titled, “Meeting Today's Global Challenges with 21st Century Diplomats,” at Spelman College, Monday, April 1, at 4:30 p.m. Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield leads a team of 400 employees who carry out a range of personnel functions for the State Department’s 60,000-strong workforce − from recruitment and hiring, through evaluations and promotions, to retirement.

Uncle Maddio's opens in Edgewood

ATLANTA -- Uncle Maddio's Pizza Joint will open its newest Atlanta location in Edgewood this week.

The restaurant is located at 1220 Caroline Street in the Edgewood Retail District. It will open for the very first time on Thursday, Mar. 14 at 11 a.m.

"Uncle Maddio's locations are popping up all over Atlanta, and now we finally have a place in Edgewood to call home," Uncle Maddio's founder Matt Andrew said in a statement. "We're thrilled to give locals a new choice in pizza -- one that's family-friendly and known for creating gourmet-style pizza in just six minutes."

The Edgewood Uncle Maddio's will hold a grand opening party on Saturday, Mar. 16 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The first 100 customers will receive free pizza for an entire year; there will also be activities for families in attendance.

Seamus Heaney to read at Emory

ATLANTA -- Nobel Prize-winning poet Seamus Heaney will give a free reading at Emory University next month.

Heaney will read on Saturday, Mar. 2 at 2 p.m. in the school's Glenn Auditorium.

Tickets will be available beginning Wednesday and can be picked up at a number of locations, including Emory's Schwartz Center for the Performing Arts box office, A Cappella Books in Inman Park, Charis Books and More in Little Five Points, and two Decatur bookstores -- Eagle Eye Bookshop and Little Shop of Stories.
